What is Philly Water Ice?

For those of you, who are not from the Philadelphia, PA area, (or lived there before) your probably asking yourself  (the title of this blog), “What is Philly Water Ice?”

It taste as good as it looks!

Well, let’s start off by telling you what

Philly Water Ice is not.  It is Not, a hard ice treat, like Shaved ice or Snow cones.  Shaved ice and snow cones are crushed ice with syrup poured on top.  Now that we have that established. 

This is what Philly Water Ice is: 

Philly Water Ice is made from; Water,  Real fruit, Fruit juice, all mixed together, then frozen.  It is the process, that gives Water Ice its smooth texture and more wonderful taste(pronounced "Wooder Ice in Philly).  It eats like a sorbet, that melts in your mouth. It's cool and refreshing, on a hot summer day or night! There are many different companies within the Philadelphia,PA area that make water ices.  We'll blog later, and more in detail about the history of Water ice.

We proudly serve “The Original” Philadelphia Water Ice from The Philadelphia Water Ice Factory, here at Philly Water Ice in Vegas! Our ten (10) daily flavors are: Banana Daiquiri, Blueberry, Cherry, Cotton Candy, Lemon, Mango, Passion Fruit, Pineapple, Strawberry Lemonade, and Tropical Rainbow. We have sugar free options as well.

We have read your comments and suggestions, from our blog readers from Los Angeles, CA, Phoenix, AZ and Denver, CO. We will be serving Philly Water Ice, in these areas soon. In the meantime, if you can’t wait, email us @ Philly Water Ice in LV, what flavor(s) you like, and we can fast freeze a 2.5 gallon to your home address (No P.O. Boxes, please!). Howdy, Folks! This is your girl LG posting a quick reminder for you Philly Water Ice lovers! We are ready for the season and we our now taking orders for all events. Below you'll find some events this year, where we will be serving you, that Philly Water Ice Treat, that's keeps you cool in the desert heat!

Our 2013 season starts this year again April 27-28th, 2013,at the 21st City of Lights Jazz and R&B Festival 2013, in Fabulous Las Vegas, NV! Starring some great jazz legends on Saturday: Stanley Clarke and George Duke, Rick Braun, Richard Elliot, Roy Ayers, Elan Trotman, Bob Baldwin and Friends with Paul Taylor. Sunday acts are: Stephanie Mills, Will Downing, Ledisi, Mint Condition and Anthony David.

Philly Water Ice will also be at Clark County - Jazz Series in the Park, starting May 11, 2013, with Las Vegas Academy Jazz Combo featuring Dee Dee Bridgewater, on May 18, 2013, Las Vegas Academy Jazz Combo featuring Jeff Hamilton Trio,  June 1, 2013 June 8, featuring Sheila E's Dad, Pete Escovedo. Please note: Philly Water Ice will not be there on the May 25, 2013 date.
